“Wyatt” was the first home bred pup we kept from the “Russell” x “Harriet” mating. He is the most manic, non-stop dog we have. Nicknamed “the stick” he is exactly that – lean and mean – on the go and hard to keep weight on – he has never the less given his sire a run for his money – on the track and in the show ring! A multiple Group and in Show winner “Wyatt” whilst slow to mature, will no doubt continue to do well.
“Wyatt” was handled by Bronwyn Falconer (Ukulunga Australian Shepherds) in the North Island. “Wyatt” has also been Runner Up Best of Group to his Sire “Russell” at an All Breeds Champ Show – a first for GWP’s in Australasia.

“Harriet” came to us from Maxine & Peter McCullough in the UK. She is a fabulous strong bitch with a really biddable nature. She has produced very nice typey puppies who are doing well in hunting, trialling, racing and show homes.
“Harriet” was easily titled but was never that fond of the show ring, she would much rather be hanging around us all day and generally being the house dog. We absolutely adore her and are grateful to Maxine and Peter for sending her here to NZ.

“Russell” is the top winning imported GWP in NZ. The only GWP to have won a BiSS, he is a multiple Best in Group/Age Class in Show winner. Holder of over 160cc’s. “Russell” has produced the most gorgeous progeny with fabulous wirey coats – exactly like his own.

Meshik in show mode 2002 (aged 9)
Meshik – the only siberian in New Zealand to have 2 Best in Shows under specialist breed/show/racing judges and Best in Show over the largest entry at a Championship show in NZ (80). A fabulous show dog (holder of over 250cc’s) and committed sled dog – sire of numerous champion progeny and grand progeny.
Meshik was not shown until he was a year old, starting in October 1994 he was titled by mid march 1995, gaining his 8th cc with a runner-up best in group and junior in show – at Rotorua Kennel Assn (these were the days of shows with entries in excess of 1100 dogs)
Now at 15 years old he is retired enjoying his dotage in the comfort of a grassy paddock with his daughter Envy.

Envy at the Wanaka Sled Dog Festival 2004
Envy is a multiple group and in show winner – with Best Bitch and Best of Breed wins from the baby Puppy class. A great show and sled dog and even better hunter of opossums!! Envy was spayed at 9 years old as we never found the right male for her. She has the most beautiful coat, head, rear and tail set – her main fault being a wide front. Envy is one of the few agouti siberians to have gained a show title in NZ, she was either loved or hated by judges due to her strong face markings and unusual colouring.

Bond – an absolute blonde, typical crazy freespirited siberian. He was Rae’s siberian she was never supposed to have. After owning sibes for so long and becoming involved in the GWP’s another siberian was not on the cards. However along came Bond and as he fitted so well into the pack and as Rae’s first love was sibes – he stayed. Of course it helped that he was from a great mating – special thanks to Raylean Edwards and Cheryl Le Court for their efforts in ensuring this special breeding occurred. Very special thanks to Mark (we’re never having another siberian) for allowing Bond to become part of our pack.

Alex has 5cc’s and was well on her way to her Championship title when she was attacked outside the show ring by another dog. Unfortunately this has resulted in a dent in her confidence. We hope to get her back into the ring and complete her title in the near future.
June 2008 – Alex competes in her first sled dog races and places 1st with Tana & Maddy in the 3 dog class both days at the CSDC Double Banger!!!

Maddy came to us from the SPCA – a rehome who we love dearly and who has taken to sled dog racing with ease. We have no idea of her lineage and it doesn’t matter – she is a great pet and companion and very special friend to all our dogs – siberian, aussie and GWP.

Our latest puppy has now arrived in NZ – landing in Christchurch on Good Friday ’09
Bolt hails from the well known Kimmax kennels of Maxine and Peter McCullough in the UK. His sire and dam are both fully tested Deutsch Drahthaars (German Wirehaired Pointers) with enviable ratings from the VDD in Germany.
Bolts dam “Joschi” competed in the prestigious Hegewald in 2007 placing 17th.

Bolt brings bloodlines to Australasia never seen before along with the legacy of fully hunt tested parents, grandparents and more. This makes Bolt THE most exciting DD/GWP to ever come to this part of the world!!
